Facilities Services Operative Apprentice

Role Overview 

Joining EPPH as Facilities Services Operative Apprentice, you will be working alongside our Facilities Maintenance team. You will be assisting them by helping supports the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration of facilities services within the  Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Log incoming job requests from clients
  • Creating Jobs/Quotes on CAFM systems  
  • Liaising with engineers, contractors & Clients  
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards 
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation 
  • Ensure minor maintenance issues are identified and escalated appropriately
  • Manage filing systems, purchase orders, and general administrative tasks for the FM team 
  • Provide clear updates on the progress of maintenance tasks and service requests 
  • Support internal communication around building access, planned works, or operational changes 
  • Assist with raising purchase orders and tracking FM-related spending 
  • Support contractor onboarding, permit-to-work processes, and site inductions 

Required qualifications / Expectations / Experience: 

  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks or service requests efficiently.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with contractors, colleagues, and clients.

Training and support:

Learning and Skills apprenticeship programmes are delivered through a mixture of face-to-face and virtual methods by our fully qualified and industry experienced apprentice training team. Using their expert knowledge gained from time spent in the industry, we’ve tailored our programmes to use the most up-to-date tools and technologies so that the skills we create can be used directly in the workplace. As one of our learners, you’ll benefit from coaching, help and guidance from our dedicated team whose job it is to ensure your success. Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Facilities services operative Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification.
