1. In the event of a major power outage, a gas leak, or a water leak, we will be in a position to attend within the hour
2. In the event of an emergency boiler or hot water breakdown, lighting outage, localized power outage or similar, we will be in a position to attend within 4 hours
3. In the event of a insignificant electrical, plumbing or heating issue, we are able to undertake video calls to try and assist with a home fix within reason (no advice will be given for any works requiring a registered expert) if a home fix is not possible an engineer can be booked in at your convenience.
You will be asked a number of questions via telephone prior to our engineers attendance and we ask 100% transparency so we can prepare as required:
Where inspections or investigations must take place, our engineers are taking a range of precautions to protect the public that they come into contact with, as well as themselves. These are based on the guidance provided on gov.uk and include:
Personal protective equipment, frequent hand washing with soap or use of alcohol hand sanitizing gel.
Engineers visiting sites, confirm prior to entering the property, whether anyone is self-isolating, or has been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID19 or has recently gone into self-isolation?
If the answer is ‘yes’, then the engineer will be cancelled and recorded as an aborted visit and held for rescheduling at a later date.
In addition, if the engineer visiting a site suspects anything that makes them feels uncomfortable with the situation then they can retreat from site and follow the steps above.
In accordance with Government guidance, any EPPH staff residing in a household where another person has symptoms, or presenting symptoms themselves, will self-isolate for 14 days.
