RENEWABLES

Energy production and storage have a huge global impact not only on the environment, but our lives. Decisions regarding the use of fossil fuels and their effect on our environment, to the development of cleaner, more-modern ways to create and store energy.

Power production from renewable sources again provided record levels of generation in the U.K. In 2020, 43% of UK’s consumed energy was converted via renewable sources.

In light of rising global energy prices, provoked by surging demand after the pandemic as well as several international instances. This will be central to weaning Britain off expensive fossil fuels, which are subject to volatile gas prices set by international markets we are unable to control and boosting our diverse sources of homegrown energy for greater energy security in the long-term.

How EPPH can help?

We understand client requirements, allocated budgets and design
requirements are imperative to a productive working relationship. We tailor
each project and work closely with the client through the entire process, from
concept to completion. EPPH are able to provide consultations and full design
and installations commercially or domestically for the following –

Photovoltaics (PV)

The conversion of light into electricity using semiconducting
materials that exhibit the photovoltaic effect. The power system is controlled
using power electronics.

PV installations may be ground-mounted, rooftop-mounted, wall-mounted.

The mount
may be fixed or use a solar tracker to follow the sun across the sky.

Heat Pumps ASHP

Heat pumps work by taking natural warmth out of the surrounding environment to provide hot water and heating. There are three main types of heat pump: ground source, air source and water source. The name of each one describes where the appliance draws its heat from.

SCOP, the seasonal performance coefficient. This is a realistic indication of energy efficiency meaning majority of Heat Pumps produce the ration 1Kw energy should produce 3-4Kw return.

Commercial biomass

boiler systems are designed to burn a range of fuels such as wood chip, wood pellet, logs, grains, straw and miscanthus. Switching to a biomass boiler from a fossil fuel source such as oil, With the correct set up and maintenance you could expect to see fuel savings from anywhere between 30% to 50%, or even up to 80% if biomass is replacing electric for heating.

EV (Electric Vehicle) Chargers

 As of 1 January 2022:

There were 28,375 public electric vehicle charging devices available in the UK

Of the total devices available, 5,156 were rapid chargers

 Compared to 1 October 2021:

Available devices increased by 2,448, an increase of 9%

Rapid devices increased by 233, up 5%

Increase in total and rapid devices across all regions of the UK

We supply & install electric vehicle chargers in both the home and workplace and have fully qualified OZEV-approved EV installers located nationwide.

Government grants & Incentives may also be applicable for the above.
