Educating the Next Generation on Sustainability and Green Innovation

EPPH recently had the pleasure of attending Elveden Primary School to speak with their fantastic Eco Committee, a group of students dedicated to learning about sustainability and the importance of protecting our planet.

Alongside SEH, we took part in a Q&A session where the students asked a range of thoughtful and insightful questions about energy, buildings, and environmental responsibility. It was great to see such enthusiasm and awareness at such a young age.

Following the Q&A, we gave the Eco Committee a tour of the new school building, explaining some of the key sustainable features incorporated into its design, including:

. Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) and how they provide efficient, low-carbon heating
. Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems and their energy-saving benefits
. Building Management Systems (BMS) and how smart controls improve building performance
. Tree planting within the school grounds to support biodiversity
 . Insulation and soundproofing within the building fabric to enhance efficiency and comfort

Educating the next generation about sustainable building practices is an important step towards a greener future. We’re proud to support initiatives like this and to see schools championing environmental responsibility.
