EPPH is proud to announce its support for Anastasia, a remarkable 16-year-old Ukrainian badminton player who is pursuing her dream of competing at the U17 European Championships.

Anastasia arrived in the UK in April 2022 through a special initiative designed to provide homes for promising young Ukrainian athletes displaced by conflict. Since then, with the support of the Ipswich Badminton Performance Centre (IBPC) and the welcoming community in Coddenham, she and her mother have found both stability and opportunity.

In just three years, Anastasia has achieved an extraordinary amount:

• Learned English to a high standard
• Balanced full-time education with elite-level training
• Competed in top-tier national badminton events, delivering standout performances
• Earned the opportunity to represent Ukraine in international tournaments

Her story is one of resilience, dedication, and passion. Despite being far from home and lacking the financial backing many of her peers receive, Anastasia continues to prove what’s possible with hard work and community support.

EPPH is honoured to contribute to her journey by helping fund her participation in upcoming international tournaments in Croatia and Austria, critical events in her path toward European Championship selection. Every match brings her closer to her goal and offers another chance to demonstrate her potential on the international stage.
